About Us
Resin Wood is a family run business that is based down the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Each of our products are handcrafted with attention to detail and passion. Quality is important to us and our aim is to create prouducts that will last a lifetime.
If you look around you, you will see that wood makes up a vast majority of our lives. Trees create the oxygen we breathe, we learn to read and write on paper, so if it wasn’t for wood, you wouldn’t be reading this right now. It has been a major material in creating the world we live in every day. From the bridges we drive over, to the telephone and electricity poles that allow us to connect. From the ships that, in the past, discovered new places, to the houses we live in and the chairs and tables we use every day as well as the fires that keep us warm. Wood is a major part of our lives whether we see it or not.
Wood is an important natural resource and one of the few that are renewable. It is an incredible material that is alive and grows and has a history. With that in mind, we only use reclaimed, recycled, drift wood and storm-borne wood in an effort to create no waste and to reuse, renew and repurpose as much of this incredible material as we can so that the tree can keep telling its story in our homes.
The environment is very important to us and so we only use 30-50% plant-based, eco friendly epoxy resin to create our products.
Our bestsellers are our serving boards, popular for wedding gifts, birthday and anniversary gifts as well as home use.
We specialize in coffee tables, serving boards, bread board, coasters, clocks & lamps.
Custom orders, like all our products, are handcrafted with incredible artistry and care. Created in our workshop, from beginning to end, the time and attention to detail has required us to give a 2-3 week “fulfillment time” prior to shipping. This ensures that we can present our customers with beautiful products of excellent quality.

STAINING: Resin Wood IS NOT LIABLE FOR SHADE AND OR COLOR VARIANCES. SHADING OR COLOR CAN VARY DRAMATICALLY FROM WOOD SPECIES. COLOR DEVIATION OF ANY FORM IS NOT A CLAIMABLE DEFECT.

Caring For Your Products

Boards
- Do not wash in a dishwasher or wet excessively, or soak your board.
- Using sharp knives on the resin will scuff the resin just as it would do to the wood.
- Wipe your board with a damp cloth as heat and moisture can damage the board.
- Wood is a living material, this means that your board will need a little love and TLC every now and then.
- We recommend applying olive oil, linseed oil or beeswax regularly to prevent the board from drying out, cracking or warping. This little bit of love will increase the life span of your board.
Tables and Counter Tops
- Using sharp utensils on the resin will scuff the resin just as it would do to the wood so try and keep sharp utensils off the resin.
- Wipe your table or counter top with a damp cloth in order to clean it.
- Wood is a living material, this means that your table or counter top will need a little love and TLC every now and then.
- We recommend applying a wax polish regularly to prevent the table or counter top from drying out, cracking or warping. This little bit of love will increase the life span of your product.
- We recommend our all natural, homemade, food safe beeswax. Contact us for purchases.
- Should any spill occur, try wipe them up quickly to prevent water marks.
